Simplicity is at the heart of this dynamic and highly mobile seating system.
Central to the Florien’s design alongside the incorporation of the tilt-in-space pivoting system is the ability to remove the arms of the chair in order to facilitate side transference.
The convenient removable arm modules enable them to be simply lifted off to facilitate a left or right side transfer for example, to a wheelchair or bed, making the Florien an exceptionally versatile and functional chair.

The effortless tilt-in-space pivoting system provides a reclined, resting position whilst maintaining posture and pelvic stability. Keeping the angle between the chair and back at 110° eliminates the potential to slide forward into an uncomfortable position. Weight is distributed evenly over a large contact surface area making it a simple yet effective way to combat the build up of pressure.
Providing choice is central to pressure management within the seating portfolio and the Florien range is no exception. The option of different pressure relieving seat modules depends on individual user's pressure management requirements. From the highly advanced Intelligel seat module for those at very high risk of developing pressure problems through to the Transflo Gel cushion and Reflexion foam seat modules for those at medium to high risk. Indeed the flexibility of the Florien range as with the majority of the specialist seating portfolio enables users to either integrate their own pressure relieving seat cushion into the seat module of the chair or apply a flat seat board upon which it can be effectively used.
To enhance comfort on the basic Florien chair a multi-positional integral headrest has been incorporated enabling more considerate head and shoulder positioning.
The Florien also offers a range of accessories including adjustable lateral supports that provide comfort and midline positioning, a height adjustable footboard as well as a removable cushioned headrest.
Available in two standard vinyl colours: Berkshire Caversham and Berkshire Fawley for quick delivery despatch within 2 working days (subject to priority delivery charge; not available on Large Wheel version)
